Ep. 013 | The Horrific Attack of Alison Botha
In 1994, 27-year-old Alison Botha was kidnapped outside of her home in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She was then driven out to a remote location where she was raped, strangled, stabbed, disemboweled, and almost decapitated. It took hours for Alison to reach a hospital, and still, she SURVIVED.
Appallingly, Alison’s attackers Frans du Toit and Thuens Krueger, were released from prison in July of 2023. On parole, they now walk amongst the average person in South Africa. But are they really rehabilitated and safe to be around? Fucking of course not (allegedly, in our opinion), but we usually ask a question at the end of the episode summary. Still, this is A Trial by Podcast, so we’ll let you be the judge (we are certain you’ll agree with us on this one).
